Absolute Must Haves For Any Website

Before you hit the submit button on your new website, make sure the following items are on your website. Sometimes a website is a persons first impression of your business or service. If you have unimpressed, you may never have a chance of seeing that customer again.

Website Creation- The Essential Items List

The following is a short list of some of the essential items that create the perfect base for a site. The ones listed below are among the most common.

  • Simple Navigation: One of the cornerstones of a successful website is the navigation that allows the easy accessibility to desired content without any hindrances or time losses. The navigation mantra is to reach the destination with the least number of clicks. A good starting point is creating a visual sitemap. The sitemap helps in organizing the entire structure of the website.  A user testing of the site navigation should be completed before the launch of the website. When you are preparing your navigation, always keep in mind that the content could change in the future. Try to keep the navigation prepared to drastically change if needed.
  • Content Management: The content should always be simple and easy to read. Nothing will make the user more disinterested when he feels put off by a site that talks a lot but says nothing; compelling content comes from original ideas and presentation; it does not come from pompous jargon. The use of meaningless phrases just to make things cool really shows the weakness and not the strength of the content. Be interesting, be fun, and be consistent.
  • Contact Information: Any product or service site requires the interaction and feedback of its users. People like to get in touch with web sites for a variety of reasons; this interaction also contributes to the traffic. The Contact info link is the business card of the site! Make sure the user can get in touch with you on any page of the website.
  • Testimonials: The testimonials are endorsements of the website’s products or services. Web sites sometimes forge the entire testimonial page with fake comments from “created” sources. However, if testimonial is done with transparency and integrity then it gives the right impression which goes a long way to bring in more users.
